Current Pricings for 2024
For your information here are some prices (correct as of 01/01/2024) for routine work that is carried out:
Our standard additional out-of-hours fee (for calls received between 5pm-10pm and 6am-8am Monday-Friday, 12.30pm-10pm Saturdays and 6am-10pm Sundays / Bank Holidays) is £58.00, including VAT, making it one of the lowest out-of-hours fees in the region. For any calls received between 10pm and 6am the additional out-of-hours fee is £80 including VAT. Additional out-of-hours fees also apply for the overnight care of patients being treated at our clinic.
Prescriptions are available for POM-Vs for animals under our care, as an alternative to medicines supplied by us. The charge for a prescription is £21.00 including VAT to cover up to 3 month's supply of drugs / medicine / POM-Vs.
If you would like to know the cost of any particular medicine or service please phone and ask. If you are a large yard, or have multiple horses that require a particular procedure (i.e. rasping, castrating, breeding work) then we are more than happy to discuss the possibility of discounting our standard prices for individual horses.

*we strongly recommend that dental work is carried out under sedation and we subsidise the sedation fee to £10 when sedating for routine dental work. There is no visit fee when 5 or more horses are examined for routine dental work on a single yard during the same appointment. Additional discounts are available on application for larger yards where multiple horses are being examined for routine dental work during the same appointment.
**our zone day rasp and vaccine 'bundle' is the cheapest way to have your horse's routine annual vaccinations and dental care performed, offering a saving of £15 on the usual costs. This offer is only available when routine vaccinations (flu or flu / tetanus) are given during the same appointment as a dental examination and rasp on our zone days, not at any other time.
^based on visit during a zone day (1/2 price).
Fees from £39 for full price visit.
^^price depends on size of colt / stallion, £240 < 200kg, £275 - 200-300kg, £305 300-400kg, £350 > 400kg price may also vary according to age of colt / stallion so please ask the office for details. Older colts / stallions and donkeys (>3yo) are more expensive to castrate.
Please note that this price includes all drugs and antibiotics except Tetanus Antitoxin if this is required, so please ensure your colt is vaccinated against tetanus prior to your castration to avoid additional expense. A standard dose of Tetanus Antitoxin is currently £30-£50 depending on the size of the horse.
