Past Events - "First Aid for Horse Owners" - Saturday March 15th 2014
On Saturday 15th March 2014, from 10am until 4pm, we had a fantastic time holding one of our popular Equine First Aid for Horse Owners courses in glorious Spring sunshine. This course offers a morning of lectures on how to handle equine emergencies that are likely to be encountered by anyone spending a lot of their time with horses: colic, cuts and grazes, wounds over joints / tendon sheaths etc. In the afternoon there are practical sessions in small groups on equine examinations, bandaging and functional anatomy. Here's some of the feedback we had from the day:
"Thanks to Ben,Tony, Chloe & the Paton & Lee team for a thoroughly enjoyable & informative first aid course today. Special mention to the very well behaved Scarlet & Phil & of course Buddy who had to put up with our prodding & poking! Would definitely recommend to other clients x" Wendy Warwick
"A very informative and fun day for horse owners at Paton & Lee Equine Veterinary Surgery. We highly recommend their first aid course, well worth it. All the horses were so well behaved in the practical, apart from one... Buddy! Thank you to everyone there" Quila Marie
"Fantastic day at the equine 1st aid course today. Me and my mum learned lots. Excellent course worth every penny. Thank you so much for this brilliant opportunity. Highly recommend. Xx" Sarah Pitts
