Equine Veterinary Acupuncture
Jonathan Lee BVSc MRCVS is a qualified veterinary acupuncturist and offers a comprehensive equine veterinary acupuncture service for horses, ponies and donkeys throughout Essex and Suffolk. Veterinary Acupuncture can be an extremely useful therapy for many conditions in horses, often in combination with other conventional therapies to provide additional benefits. In horses, acupuncture is most commonly used to treat musculoskeletal conditions, including: muscular soreness of the neck, shoulders, back and hindquarters; sacroiliac (pelvic) pain; digestive problems including inappetance and diarrhoea; arthritis; poor immunity; respiratory and reproductive problems. Symptoms that can be alleviated through the use of equine veterinary acupuncture include: "cold backs" (resentment of saddling, dipping when mounted); stiffness and poor bending (on one or other rein, or both); head tilt or poor neck flexion; soreness during grooming; low-level performance limiting issues such as a short striding gait or poor transitions.
Please feel free to contact the office for further information or to book your appointment today. Initial consultations cost £70, with follow-up examinations at £52.50 per session.
